Mika Abbott (she/her) is a Canadian lens-based artist and arts worker residing in Regina, Saskatchewan, Treaty 4 Territory. She graduated from the University of Regina with Distinction in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Art, where she specialized in photography and printmaking. Her film photography practice is conceptually driven by themes of identity, place, and the nuanced relationships between intimate spaces and cultural values. Abbott has served in various positions across Regina’s Art community, including Dunlop Art Gallery, Neutral Ground, Nuit Blanche Regina, and Royal Saskatchewan Museum. She is currently supported by the 2024-2025 CARFAC Foundational Mentorship program under the guidance of Risa Horowitz.
